Turning a Downtown Home Into Five Unique Studio Apartments
See how one of my recent favorites turned out after months of hard work!
This project has been one of my ultimate favorite I’ve had the honor of doing! I was contacted by a couple looking for interior design help and they found me via my website. We met and I listened to all the hard work, sweat, and tears they had put into a unique downtown property they had owned for a while.
They had decided to take a risk and turn the home into five studio apartments. The plan was to rent it for events through an event planner and short term rentals like residency students, or people traveling for business. It was one of the most unique properties I’d ever seen!
My clients hired me to use my creative ability to transform the 5 studio apartments info multifunctional units. They requested a modern industrial vibe and they wanted the apartments to have their own unique style. I was excited to think outside of the box! I was truly honored they entrusted me and gave me full rein with this project they have loved for so long.
I spent so much time researching furniture to fit each space with the measurements I drew up. Then I thought of a color palette for each apartment. I really envisioned what I would want in a space if I lived in them. They almost become like home to me because I put so much thought into every detail!
